The Brazilian state oil giant can now hold on to the platform supply vessel (PSV) World Sapphire for 60 more days beyond 10 August, when its renewal certificate to be able to work off Brazil was due to expire.
Petrobras had appealed to Brazil’s Agencia Nacional de Transportes Aquaviarios (ANTAQ) to hold onto the PSV and another WWS unit, World Emerald, for 60 days despite both recently seeing renewal of their certificated blocked by local content rules.
