The offering includes nine areas under existing exploration and production concessions which, taken together, registered an average production rate of 13,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2015.
The fields in the offering have been grouped together into production hubs with integrated infrastructure. This formed part of a concerted effort to bolster the economic viability of the areas for future concessionaires, according to a Petrobras statement.
