The Chinese giant said on Thursday it recorded a net loss in the first three months of the year of 13.8 billion yuan ($2.13 billion), compared with a profit of 6.1 billion yuan a year earlier.
Revenue fell 14% in the period to 352.8 billion yuan compared to 410.3 billion in the first quarter of last year.
The dramatic drop was a result of“plummeting international oil prices”, PetroChina said,as the average realized price of the company's crude oil was $27.27
