The deal, worth $650 million, comprises engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of new separation and booster compression facilities at the established Alrar field.

The Alrar field is located in Illizi, about 1600 kilometres south-east of the Algerian capital Algiers, and has been operating since 1987.

The new facility is expected to help maintain output from the Alrar field at its current level of 24 million cubic metres per day of gas.
