The contract covers the procurement and installation of two eight-inch water injection flexible pipes which will connect three fixed jacket platforms.
The pipes will measure a combined 9.5 kilometres and be made at Technip's flexible pipe manufacturing plant, Asiaflex Products, in Johor, Malaysia.
Technip said it planned to use its Deep Orient subsea construction vessel to carry out the offshore installation work.
The contract is the first work awarded under a five-year frame agreement between Technip and Petronas which was signed late last year covering the engineering, procurement, construction and installation or supply of flexible pipes for Petronas' projects in Malaysia.
