Socar revealed on its website a Petronas delegation led by chief executive Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin had visited Socar in Azerbaijan, with Wan Zulkiflee highlighting the two companies work on the Shah Deniz 2 project and Petronas’ interest in expanding its co-operation with Socar.
During the meeting, Socar president Rovnag Abdullayev also stated work on the second phase of the Shah Deniz field and construction of pipelines was proceeding on schedule, with first gas expected in 2018.
