Through its subsidiary Petronas Overseas Ventures, the Asian player will tap into WesternGeco's wide-azimuth (WAZ) library to evaluate exploration opportunities in Mexican waters. WesternGeco is a unit of Schlumberger.
The WesternGeco Campeche seismic survey comprises more than 80,000 square kilometres of newly imaged subsurface data, acquired in the last 12 months.
