Net profit of 1.62 billion rupees ($26.23 million) in the last three months of 2014 was up 19% on the 1.36 billion earned in the fourth quarter of 2013 but down 38% on the 2.36 billion netted in the third quarter of 2014.
Profits declined sharply from the third quarter as the sudden drop in crude and product rices resulted in lower trading margins and lower volumes, Petronet LNG said.
