After investigating the incident, police determined that the man had been shot in the back of the head and then three large cement blocks were tied to his feet before he was dumped at the platform in the Gulf of Paria between the island of Trinidad and Venezuela, according to reports in the Trinidad Guardian.

The man, identified as Gregory Lee Foon, had links to the island’s drug trade and was believed to be involved in a lost shipment of cocaine, according to local reports.
