Australia's National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator (Nopta) has granted Pilot a transitional work programme variation which will not require it to complete the 3D seismic survey until 12 May 2017.
Under the original terms of the permit, Pilot was required to carry out the shoot before 12 May this year.
The approval of the variation to the work programme also means Pilot now has until 2017 to to complete other work commitments including various geological and geophysical studies.
