The contract awarded to Italian company local contractor TESI Srl is for the construction of the seven kilometre pipeline and tie-in to an existing gas treatment plant, said Po Valley.
Based on average rainfall for the autumn season, development is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
A short commissioning period will follow before regular production can begin.
