The probe is being drilled by LP Drilling’s hydraulic rig Corsair 300. Drilling is expected to take about 10 days to reach the potential gas-bearing sands target.
The Gradizza structure lies in the Ferrara province north of Bologna. The well is targeting Quaternary sands at a total measured depth of 1000 metres with prospective best estimate gas resources of 9 billion cubic feet.
