The well, drilled by LP Drilling’s hydraulic rig Corsair 300, reached a total depth of 1030 metres last weekend.
On the completion of logging operations, Po Valley confirmed the well had intersected a 10-metre gross gas column in the primary target area of the Quaternary sand level, with nine metres of net gas sand.
The company is now planning to run casing and complete the well, then commence a production test.
