Around 2500 barrels of produced water and 400 barrels of oil were spilled onto the Denbury Onshore-operated pad, according to the North Dakota Department of Health.
Denbury told Upstream on Friday that the spill was contained and there was no off-lease impact.
However, the department said in a Thursday release that while most of the fluids remained on the Bowman County pad, an "undetermined portion" of the spill had impacted pastureland to the northwest of the site.
