The operator said the well was spudded at the end of May and reached the final depth of 4067 meters in August.
“Based on wireline logs and drilling results, potential hydrocarbon bearing zones were identified in Massive Sand of lower Goru formation,” the company said.
“During testing, the flow was 20.3 million cubic feet per day gas along with 50 barrels per day of condensate at 48/64 inches choke size, thus confirming the presence of commercial quantities of natural gas and condensate,” PPL said.
