The explorer’s project management contractor on Bentley is UK engineering specialist Amec, with Norway’s Aibel working on the engineering, procurement and construction parameters for the Arup design platform.
The contractors are now working on optimising the self-installing Arup concept elevating (Ace) platform design for the field, following the completion of conceptual design and assurance.
Arup oil and gas leader Rob Duffin said the company’s design was an efficient and cost-effective solution to help bring the harsh environment field into production.
