The South American giant pumped 2.83 million barrels of oil equivalent per day last month, compared to 2.69 million boepd in April. Of that, 2.64 million boepd came from Brazil and 190,000 boepd were produced abroad.

Oil production averaged 2.24 million barrels per day in May, a 6% increase from April, and a 1% bump from May 2015.

About 2.16 million bpd were produced in Brazil, good for the fifth biggest monthly average ever recorded by Petrobras.
