Oslo-listed DOF will provide inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) services with a multi-purpose supply vessel under a lengthy charter deal.
Shell will take the as-yet unspecified vessel for a firm period of five years, with two extension periods of two years each.
No contract value was disclosed by DOF and nobody was available for comment on Friday morning.
DOF will provide project management, engineering and integrated services for IMR programmes along with the vessel, while Shell has options on other vessels, which DOF also did not specify.
