Primeline revealed China Oilfield Service Ltd (COSL) has started mobilising the self-elevating jack-up HYSY941 earlier this week to the LS23-1-1 well location in Block 33/07.
It said that, subject to weather and sea conditions, it expected drilling operations to start around 22 September.
Primeline signed a drilling contract with COSL last month for two wells, with the second well expected to be either LS23-2-1 or LS30-3-1.
The company has the option to suspend drilling operations after LS23-1-1 to give it time to carry out any necessary studies before drilling the second to ensure it drills the well in an optimal location.
