The China-focused player has also given formal notice to CNOOC China Limited (CCL) of its intention to press ahead with arbitration, five weeks after it started arbitration proceedings against Zhejiang Gas Natural Gas Development over a dispute related to a gas sales contract breach involving the same asset.
The gas field concerned in each arbitration is the LS36-1 field in Block 25/34.
