The Efficient-1 well was drilled to a total depth of 3196 metres to evaluate material gas accumulations in the Permian of the Allunga Trough, in the southern part of the basin.
Senex revealed in its monthly drilling report on Wednesday the well and encountered hydrocarbon shows in the target zone, adding it would now be cased and suspended for future fracture stimulation and testing.
