London-listed Providence Resources has won permission to move its Druid prospect, off Ireland, to the second phase of development, which will involve exploratory drilling.
The Irish junior said on Monday that it was granted consent from the minister of state for UK’s department of communications, climate action and environment to drill on its southern Porcupine basin licence, on the frontier exploration licence (FEL ) 2/14, which lies in around 2250 metres of water.
