“The good news is, the company (BG) is very supportive of doing more here in Australia – the proof of that is in the fact that they’re giving us significant sums of money to do exploration,” QGC managing director Derek Fisher said in a press briefing at the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association Conference in Brisbane on Wednesday.
Fisher did not disclose the value of the budget but said QGC has the largest exploration budget in the entire BG Group for this year.
