Joint venture partner Carnarvon Petroleum revealed Quadrant had taken delivery of the jack-up Noble Tom Prosser from Vermillion Energy who had been using the well for drilling at its Wandoo oilfield.
Carnarvon said Friday the rig was now mobilising to Block WA-437-P and was expected to spud the Roc-1 well around 17 November.
Roc-1 will target the same Lower Keraudren reservoir in which oil was discovered in the Phoenix South-1 well last year in the adjoining Block WA-435-P.
