Australian company Quadrant Energy has abandoned plans to drill the Palmerston prospect and turned its attention to the Driftwood prospect in Western Australia’s offshore Carnarvon basin.
Quadrant was expected to drill the Palmerston-1 well in WA-320-P this year as its third year commitment well, however permit partner Tap Oil revealed that, after carrying out a technical evaluation, the operator had instead recommended the joint venture drill the Driftwood-1 well.
