Race begins for Kangean FPSOs

Floating production contractors are queuing up for a tilt at two separate vessels required on Kangean Energy Indonesia's (KEI) delayed development of the Kangean oil and gas block off East Java, Indonesia.

On the table: Songa Floating Production (formerly Nortechs) is converting a tanker into an FPSO similar to its East Fortune floater (above), and is understood to be bidding for the new unit to work for KEI
