Ramba reported on Monday that the Akatara-1 well, which was drilled to a total depth of about 1951 metres, encountered oil and gas shows in the Selong-Akatara cluster, confirming the Lemang Block subsurface configuration understanding and its play concept.
The well hit 15 potential reservoir layers, with well log and pressure gradient analysis confirming the discovery.
Drill stem testing revealed 11 million cubic feet per day of gas and 380 barrels per day of condensate from the primary reservoir, Ramba said.
