Repsol inherited Talisman's PNG assets as part of its takeover of the Canadian company.
Luis Cabra, Repsol's head of exploration and production, is this week meeting Prime Minister Peter O'Neill plus other political and industry leaders and to evaluate the company's PNG business, according to the PNG Post Courier.
"PNG has significant potential, and we are keen to deepen our knowledge as a matter of priority," Cabra was quoted as saying in the PNG Post Courier.
