The company has hired US banking giant Goldman Sachs to help it find a buyer or buyers for its near 3.1% stake in the West Papua project, Bloomberg reported.
The stake could be worth up to $300 million, the news wire reported, citing unidentified sources, although Repsol may yet decide not to sell.
Upstream reported last month that bids for the major contracts related to the expansion of Tangguh LNG are due in the first quarter.
