The company announced in late May that it was considering the sidetrack to appraise the reservoirs in the Upper Cenomanian (UC) sands from a better location.
In an announcement released today, Rialto said the Gazelle-P3 Sidetrack 2 well would further appraise the UC-1 by drilling at a location 200 metres from where good quality sands were previously found at the IVCO-14 well.
