Sembmarine, like many of its domestic and international rivals, has had to contend with clients delaying delivery of rigs and drillships - and further such order delays and cancellations could be on the cards.
"It's quite clear that financial support has to come in and a take-private is one of the easier options but ultimately there will need to be a long-term solution," an industry source was quoted as saying by Reuters.
