The Oklahoma-based player has bought 24,500 net leasehold acres in the South Central Oklahoma Oil Province (Scoop) play from a single unidentified seller.
The acreage is 100% held for production and currently produce around 2100 barrels of oil equivalent per day and contain 3100 net mineral acres predominantly in the Golden Trend portion of the play.
Last October private equity players Post Oak Energy Capital and Ceja threw $75 million behind Rimrock, with the management team of the private player also investing.
