Between 2007 and 2014, the US outer continental shelf (OCS) saw an average 303 injuries that required workers to be evacuated for medical care, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) reported in its first annual report, released at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston.
The industry has reported an average five fatalities per year on the OCS since 2007.
