The value of the deal that sees 100% of Essar sold is $12.9 billion, Rosneft said in a statement to the London Stock Exchange on Monday.

Rosneft’s stake itself is 49%, with the Moscow-based player identifying Trafigura as one of the other buying parties.

Reports earlier this month indicated that the two were being joined by Russian fund United Capital Partners (UCP) in taking what was initially thought to be a combined 98% stake in Essar for between $12 billion and $13 billion.
