Rosneft informed North Atlantic Drilling (NADL) that it is cancelling the service order for drillship West Navigator "in connection with the framework agreement".
The drillship was scheduled to begin operations with Rosneft under a five-year contract in the summer of 2015.
NADL said the termination will cost the company around $1 billion in contract backlog. The contract was part of a series of agreements with Rosneft that would have been worth an aggregate of $4.1
