The 17,000-tonne semi-submersible was being towed by two tugboats at a speed of around 1.5 knots to Broad Bay on the eastern side of the island after being refloated from rocks at Dalmore Bay on Monday night.
The operation was being monitored for possible pollution by aircraft from the UK’s Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA), which said in a statement no pollution was detected at Dalmore Bay.
