One of several men who were injured in a deadly explosion that rocked an Oil & Natural Gas (ONGC)-owned drillship at an Indian shipyard earlier this week remains in a critical condition.

The 35-year-old suffered 45% burns and inhalation injuries as a result of the blast on the Sagar Bhushan at Cochin Shipyard, Kerala on Tuesday morning, which left five workers dead.

The shipyard said the man remains on a ventilator and “his condition continues to be critical and prognosis is guarded”.
