Saipem has landed a deal from BP to decommission the supermajor’s out-of-production Miller platform in the UK sector of the North Sea.
The Italian contractor will use its semi-submersible unit Saipem 7000 for the engineering, preparation, removal and disposal job, it said on Thursday.
The contract involves removal of the topsides and jacket from the facility located in the central North Sea.
