The South Korean yard giant will construct the decks for both the riser and process platforms for the giant project, Statoil confirmed on Tuesday.
Upstream reported last week that Samsung was in line to scoop the contract for the two remaining topsides fabrication awards.
The process platform will weigh around 26,000 tonnes, with the riser platform coming in at 22,000 tonnes - slightly above the previously-reported expected weight of 21,000 tonnes.
