Services giant Halliburton has signed an agreement to use a SandBox Logistics, a subsidiary of US Silica, to deliver sand in closed containers to well sites where it is performing hydraulic fracturing.
The long-term agreement names SandBox as Halliburton’s “preferred provider for containerized sand delivery,” according to a statement from both companies.
“Logistics is an important part of the supply chain and one of the parts that gets the tightest in today’s environment is the last-mile component,” Halliburton president Jeff Miller said.
