SandRidge snaps up Forest assets

US independent Forest Oil said it agreed to sell its remaining Permian Basin properties to a unit of SandRidge Energy for about $800 million, as it looks to focus on shale assets. Forest said the Permian properties in West Texas and New Mexico were currently producing 46 million cubic feet equivalent per day and had estimated proved reserves of 321 billion cubic feet equivalent.
