The Houston-based rig owner said it was looking at ways to keep the contract going after receiving a notice of termination from Saudi Aramco on the rig effective 27 March.
The Hercules 261 was contracted to the Riyadh-headquartered oil player until 29 September 2019 at a day rate of between $135,000 and $137,000, according to Hercules Offshore’s latest fleet status report.
