The two companies have inked a non-binding term sheet concerning the Tendrara licence that covers eight blocks in the north-east of the country, containing two gas discoveries and other leads.
The deal, with Schlumberger Production Management (SPM), would involve the latter “providing technical services on a risked basis with an upside linked to production performance,” London-listed Sound said on Wednesday.
Sound and Schlumberger have also signed a memorandum of understanding concerning a strategic relationship across Europe and Africa.
