The offshore builder reported a 76% drop in net profit in the period to S$32 million ($22.9 million), compared with S$132 million in the third quarter of last year, mainly due to lower contributions from rig-building projects and its repair business.
According to Sembcorp, profits were also impacted by lower contributions from rig building, losses from associates, higher interest expense and non-operating items, mainly impairments.
