SembMarine was one of several yards named as a defendant in an amendment to the lawsuit which was originally commenced against Brazilian giant Petrobras in February.
In the lawsuit, EIG alleged the defendants, which also included SembMarine subsidiary Jurong Shipyard, Keppel and Odebrecht, conspired to induce funds managed by EIG to invest in the now bankrupt builder Sete Brasil.
