SembMarine confirmed both it and its subsidiary Jurong Shipyard, which was also named as a defendant in the suit, had been served with the summons.
“We believe that the claim is baseless and without merit, and will rigorously contest the claim,” SembMarine said in a statement.
SembMarine and Jurong, along with Keppel and Odebrecht, were named as defendants in an amendment to the lawsuit which was originally commenced against Petrobras in February.
