Semi-tender touted as safer rig option

Houston-based Bassdrill sees the use of semi-submersible tender assist rig along with tension-leg platforms and spars as potentially mitigating offshore safety hazards stemming up from rig incidents similar in scale to the recent Deepwater Horizon disaster in the US Gulf of Mexico.
