The conflict between forces loyal to Saudi-backed exiled President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the Shia Moslem Houthis has disrupted oil and gas production in the impoverished country.

The Houthi military setbacks in southern Yemen are not a complete surprise, considering the relentless bombardment, but do not signal an end to the conflict.
