Oil shows were found 150 metres below what the company had originally estimated to be the oil/water contact level in the Jurassic portion of the discovery.
The well was drilled to a total depth of 3455 metres in the Kurre Chine B formation, with well logs from the Triassic indicating hydrocarbons in both the Kurre Chine A and Kurre Chine B formations.
