The Bayou Companies, part of Aegion, will team up with insulation material vendor Materia for the project.
Aegion said it is on schedule to begin the work in the fall.
Project scope includes pipe coating and the application of Materia's proprietary Proxima HTI-1400 subsea insulation system. No contract value was disclosed.
"The newly developed thermosetting cross-linked hydrocarbon polymer system provides a robust thermal barrier between flowlines and seawater," the companies said in a statement, adding that the insulation system is "a stable incompressible solid in deep-water environments" and is rated to greater than 10,000 feet.
